Comic Market, or Comiket, has long been an otaku rite of passage - brave the sweltering summer weather or biting winter winds and you'll find doujinshi galore, crazy cosplays, and of course, tons of other passionate fans!
This year, Comiket's 101th event was held on December 30 and 31 at Tokyo Big Sight, attracting a whopping 180,000 fans and 20,000 doujin circles in total. No wonder there's always something new to marvel over! If you've seen our other reports, you know we're always starstruck by the cosplays and the work they put into looking so great, so let's get started!
Here’s a few that we knew we’d see for sure. After all, what better way to celebrate a recent anime you love than becoming one of its characters?!
We also found plenty of the usual suspects. Is it really a Comiket if you don’t see a Miku or Rem?
The same goes for Fate/Grand Order - there could be an entire event just for cosplaying their never-ending list of characters… and we would love it.
Here’s a generous serving of Genshin Impact as well!
Does it feel like VTubers have somehow been around for ages but are still a recent development to you too, or is it just us?
Fighting evil by moonlight… Ahh, Sailor Moon never gets old.
We saw so many more familiar faces - can you name them all?
That’s it for another Comiket! Will we be seeing you at the next one? Until then, check out the full album below this article!
